ITA: Il monpe もんぺ è un termine generale che si riferisce ai pantaloni da lavoro tradizionali giapponesi.Questi hanno un'antica origine e derivano dall'hakama, introdotto in Giappone nel VI secolo.
L'uso da lavoro deriva dalla forma ariosa che permetteva di muoversi comodamente, l'uso di materiali semplici come il cotone e l'essere facilmente rammendabile. Inoltre era indossato comunemente dalle donne, in particolare nei campi o nelle fabbriche di inizio '900.
Il monpe è costituito come l'hakama da quattro parti, due laterali, uno frontale e uno posteriore cuciti tra loro con due aperture ai fianchi e dei cordoncini che permettono di fissarlo alla vita.
Tradizionalmente di colore blu, può avere decori geometrici bianchi.
Nel '900 il monpe divenne di largo uso durante i duri anni delle guerre e per questo subì un forte declino dopo gli anni '50, perchè associato al periodo di stenti e privazioni degli anni dei conflitti bellici.
Decori e variazioni di stile erano erano riscontrabili a seconda della regione del Giappone, in particolare nella regione del Tohoku.❤️

The monpe もんぺ is a general term referring to traditional Japanese work-trouser which has an ancient origin and descend from the hakama, introduced in Japan in the sixth century.
The use for work derives from the loose shape that allowed to move comfortably, the use of simple materials such as cotton and being easily mendable. It was also commonly worn by women, especially in the fields or factories of the early 1900s.
The monpe is made up of four parts, two sides, one front and one rear sewn together with two openings at the sides and straps that allow it to be fixed at the waist.
Traditionally blue in color, it can have white geometric decorations.
In the 1900s the monpe became widely used during the hard years of the wars and for this reason it suffered a strong decline after the 1950s, because it was associated with the period of hardship and deprivation of the years of war conflicts.
Decorations and style variations were found depending on the region of Japan, in particular in the Tohoku region. ❤️
